“The SIA is delighted at the response we have had from submarine stakeholders from across the spectrum to this year’s conference,” said SIA Executive Director, David Nicholls. “It has enabled us to put together a program of speakers which is set to make the event one of the best of its type in the world in 2017.
“Considerable interest has already been received from around the world in response to the call for papers. Many of the topics describe innovative new systems and materials, drawing on international experience.”
The theme of the conference is: The Australian Submarine Capability – Consolidating Emerging Technologies and Developing the Submarine Workforce.
The conference will be preceded by visits to defence industry and academic research laboratories in the greater Adelaide area.
